One key give away is when they advertise “get 10 quotes instantly” or “Multiple competitive quotes”. If you provide your contact information, they send your information to everyone, everywhere. You will get spammed with prices all over the place. Your cell phone it will likely burn down from all the incoming text messages and phone calls. This can last for 90 days.

What factors are considered when quoting?
When you search for auto transport quotes and you see an advertisement with a price (often $399 or $499) its click bait. The most annoying one I have seen advertises “$399 coast to coast”. Let’s be honest about pricing, no legitimate auto transporter is going to move a vehicle from “coast to coast” for $400. They are going to take a $150 deposit, and make all kinds of promises about low prices and guaranteed delivery dates. Next week you will get a call stating they are unable to move your car at the quoted price and/or date.
